Join us for a day of celebrating what the Lord is doing through SBCV DR! Please follow the DR classes link to select the classes you would like to take on Saturday. There is also an option to let us know if you choose to attend the Dessert Social. If you plan to take the CPR/AED class, please complete the class selection asap. DR & Rebuild Unit/Team Leader Training Saturday, April 11, 2026 8 AM - 4 PM Glen Allen Ministry Support Center 4956 Dominion Blvd. Glen Allen, VA There is a $15 fee to cover materials/lunch/snacks. Please pay for the training by going to https://sbcofvirginia.regfox.com/dr-unit-leader-dr-team-leader-rebuild-training *SBCV's Disaster Relief Advanced Training is for credentialed DR volunteers.

Thank you for your interest in helping with the Hurricane Helene REBUILD effort in Mountain City, TN. The host church will be providing food and showers. You will bring pillows, sheets, blankets, or sleeping bags. Please bring your own cots or mattresses; no queen or king size. There are some tools available but we will also take our trailer full of tools. If you have electrical or plumbing tools, please bring them with you. If you would like to offer a ride or need one, please add your request and home city in the comments section of the sign-up. Also, an assignment roster with names, emails, phone numbers, and home city will be sent to everyone several days before the trip. This trip is subject to change due to weather conditions.

DR Basic Training at Fellowship Community Church (Salem, VA) Saturday, April 18th 9 am - 1:30 pm This in-person training will be provided by an SBCV Disaster Relief trainer. Anyone may receive the training; however, only members of an SBCV church may receive the DR credentials. DR credentialing requires the following: 1. Member of an SBCV church 2. Training - Sign up with the "Learn More" button below. Then select "volunteer". 3. Liability form - When you sign up for the training, you will be required to create an account and complete the liability form. 4. Background check - Go to "My Profile" after signing up. 5. DR Chaplain Training – Assisting Individuals in Crisis Thursday-Friday, April 23-24, 2026 8:00am - 4:00pm EST This is one of the classes required to become a Disaster Relief Chaplain with SBCV, Assisting Individuals in Crisis. This class is a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) course and is a 14-hour course. You must attend the entire course for credit. Anyone is welcome to receive SBCV's Disaster Relief Chaplain Training, but only members of SBCV churches who are credentialed DR volunteers, may be credentialed as a SBCV DR Chaplain. Glen Allen Ministry Support Center 4956 Dominion Blvd. Glen Allen, VA SBCV member $30 Non-SBCV $50 Fee covers lunch on both days, snacks and your book. This project will walk you through the process of taking the online basic training and credentialing. Online DR Basic Training is available at any time. For in-person training, go to the Project Catalog and sign up for the training location of your choice. If none are available in your area, we invite you to complete the process online. 1. Please sign up by selecting "volunteer". THE DATE AND TIME DO NOT MATTER. 2. Signing up will require that you create a profile and a login username and password (if you don't have one already). 3. Once you are signed up for a "shift", the list of credentials needed will appear in your "My Profile". 4. Select the yellow badge next to the credential for information on completing the necessary item. You should see yellow badges for the following credentials. Once they are completed, the badge will turn green. - Credentialing Fee - $35 first time and $20 for re-credentialing. Re-credentialing is required every 3 years. This is paid via the link provided. Also available here: https://sbcofvirginia.regfox.com/dr-training - The Basic Online Training Course - This will appear as a credential. Follow the link provided to complete the online training at your convenience. - Photo - Please upload a photo using the link provided. - Liability Waiver - Follow the instructions provided. - Background Check - Follow the instructions provided. Once you are signed up for a "shift", the training course will appear as a credential in your "My Profile". 4. Select the yellow badge next to the credential to watch the training. 5. Please go to https://sbcofvirginia.regfox.com/spiritual-care-provider-online-training-course to pay the $5 course fee. You should see yellow badges for the following credentials.
