Basic Training at Fincastle Baptist Church October 24th from 10 - 3. This training will be presented by a DR Trainer. Lunch is provided. To Register: 1. Select the "Learn More" button or go directly to #2 if there is no "Learn More" button visible. 2. Select "Volunteer". 3. Select "Register Now". 4. After creating an account, you will be prompted to complete the liability waiver and the background check. 5. The price for the training is $35 for first-time training and $25 for recredentialing. Please pay when you arrive for training.

NOTICE: CHANGE OF LOCATION From our Rebuild Coordinator, Herb Hamlett: "Our part of the rebuild in Mt. City, TN has come to a close. Our Oct. and Nov. trips are still scheduled only to a different location. Fred Wallace and I went to Weston, WV last week to make plans for work there. There was much flooding in that area in August. We will probably continue working in this area through next year. Our first job will be repairing a church. It has been gutted, cleaned and dried out. We will begin with installing floor insulation, sub-floor and continue until complete. The project is in Weston, WV but our host church (Freedom Baptist) is in Nutter Fort, WV. The address is 107 Illinois Ave., Nutter Fort, WV. It is about 16 miles from Weston. I want to thank each of you for your hard work and dedication. May God be glorified in all we do. Looking forward to seeing you next week." You will bring pillows, sheets, blankets, or sleeping bags. Please bring your own cots or mattresses; no queen or king size. There are some tools available but we will also take our trailer full of tools. If you have electrical or plumbing tools, please bring them with you. If you would like to offer a ride or need one, please add your request and home city in the comments section of the sign-up. Also, an assignment roster with names, emails, phone numbers, and home city will be sent to everyone several days before the trip.

This project will walk you through the process of taking the online basic training and credentialing. Online DR Basic Training is available at any time. For in-person training, go to the Project Catalog and sign up for the training location of your choice. If none are available in your area, we invite you to complete the process online. 1. Please sign up by selecting "volunteer". THE DATE AND TIME DO NOT MATTER. 2. Signing up will require that you create a profile and a login username and password (if you don't have one already). 3. Once you are signed up for a "shift", the list of credentials needed will appear in your "My Profile". 4. Select the yellow badge next to the credential for information on completing the necessary item. You should see yellow badges for the following credentials. Once they are completed, the badge will turn green. - Credentialing Fee - $35 first time and $25 for re-credentialing. Re-credentialing is required every 3 years. This is paid via the link provided. Follow the link provided to complete the online training at your convenience. - Photo - Please upload a photo using the link provided. - Liability Waiver - Follow the instructions provided. - Background Check - Follow the instructions provided. Once you are signed up for a "shift", the training course will appear as a credential in your "My Profile". 4. Select the yellow badge next to the credential to watch the training. 5. Please go to https://sbcofvirginia.regfox.com/spiritual-care-provider-online-training-course to pay the $5 course fee. You should see yellow badges for the following credentials.
